Our mission

Promote restoration of fungal habitats and sustainable conservation of natural ecosystems through afforestation with native ectomycorrhizal trees. To raise public awareness on the diversity of fungi in Sub-Saharan Africa, their utility and threats in the context of gender-equality and poverty alleviation. To enhance capability and capacity of target African countries by providing data that facilitates the incorporation of fungi in National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans required by the Convention on Biological Diversity.
